Admission Guidelines

ADMISSION GUIDELINES:

The admissions will be carried out while strictly adhering to the following guidelines.

PRIORITIES FOR ADMISSION

The priorities for admission subject to availability of seats will be as under:

  • (a) Children of serving Army personnel including DSC (Ex-Army), children of Army widows and children of those TA personnel who have a minimum of 5 years embodied service.
  • (b) Children of Ex-Army personnel retired/invalided out on medical grounds with pension.
  • (c) Children of serving Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.
  • (d) Children of retired Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.
  • (e) Children of Ex-Army personnel who left the Army with less than 10 years of service and are not categorized as ESM.
  • (f) Children of civilians paid out of Defence Estimates, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), MES, GREF, TA (when not embodied).
  • (g) Grandchildren of serving/retired Army Personnel.
  • (h) Other children.

If due to the acute shortage of classrooms there is difficulty in adjusting all children of serving Army personnel, SAMC may further prioritize children as follows:

  • (a) Transfer cases from Army Public School and private recognized schools.
  • (b) KV transfer cases.
  • (c) Transfer cases from local schools within the city.
  • (d) All other cases.
AGE LIMIT

A student must complete the undermentioned age by 01 April of the year in which the admission is sought. The age criteria will be followed very strictly.

The strength of civilian children will be maintained at the ceiling of 10% subject to availability of seats.
